Michael Prasse began working in the mental health field in 1998 at Butner Mental Hospital while completing a double major in Psychology and Religious Studies at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then attended Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary where he obtained a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling. He graduated magna cum laude as a member of Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology in 2004. After serving as an intern at both Hickory Grove Baptist Church and Charlotte South Fellowship, he became counselor and director of the Matthews Counseling Center where he counseled from 2003-2009. He is currently at Agape Christian Counseling in the crownpoint area where he now enjoys being a part of a larger practice. He is a Prepare/Enrich certified premarriage/marriage counselor, an ordained pastor, as well as a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of North Carolina - license number 7244. Michael has been married since 2000 to Leah; they have two young sons, Drew and Jake.
